Our Team

Koch Business Transformation Team accelerates the profitable transformation of Koch companies by meeting them where they are on their journey, partnering with them, and empowering them to achieve their targeted business outcomes through the effective leverage and application of the appropriate resources, knowledge, and tools. We do this through a set of Services & Capabilities we continue to design, develop, and improve to support critical phases and success factors along the transformation journey and to enable us to be effective partners, while working with each business to build these long-term capabilities where they create the most value.

Some travel may be required depending on project and/or intern activities.

What You Will Do

The key responsibilities of this team member will be:

Build Capability and Knowledge Processes

  • Work closely with business leaders to help maximize and accelerate the value of the highest value transformation programs.
  • Contribute to the development of strategy and design practice tools, methodologies, and applications, and inspire innovative approaches and techniques.

Deliver Engagements and or Advise Business Leaders

  • Help business leaders define customer and employee-centric strategies to build their own capabilities.
  • Deliver top quality team-based business architecture engagements across Koch companies that center around strategy, target operating model, customer-experience design, outcome definition, and roadmap design.
  • Use a range of tools and methods (e.g., qual/quant research, customer journey mapping, service blueprinting, business model canvas, etc.) to articulate strategies that support customer priorities.
  • Facilitate and lead strategic business design discussions with key customer stakeholders.
  • Plan working sessions and develop assets to deliver targeted outcomes.

Conduct Customer Research

  • Contribute to the design, planning, execution, and synthesis of research involving stakeholders, customers, and team members.

  • A Principled Entrepreneur, who is contribution minded, practices a philosophy of mutual benefit and demonstrates integrity, humility, and respect.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a MBA program.
  • Projected graduation date of Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity and/or experience with different frameworks such as Design Thinking, Six Sigma, or Lean Startup
  • Experience working with/on cross-functional teams and/or diverse stakeholder groups to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Experience with manufacturing, operations, connected worker, or commercial experience
  • Experience developing or participating in the development of strategic plans to benefit the customer
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations for executive audiences
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with project management and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Ability to understand industry dynamics and stakeholders across multiple industries and roles
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and feeling comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience in conducting customer /stakeholder interviews and/or synthesizing insights
  • Flexible minded; willing to take on additional responsibilities to support the team
  • Interested in learning and applying Koch's Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy
  • Interest and experience in business transformation, operating model development, business architecture, CX, service design, experience design, digital strategy, and/or business strategy
