Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-3 Software Test Automator for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 47 CTS / TGC.

Our cybersecurity test team is searching for new members that can help us conduct system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment, learning new technology areas, this is the place for you. We provide a number of opportunities to learn ranging from on-the-job training with other team members to formal courses for unique technology areas.

We realize that no one will have all of these qualifications. We are looking for people that can bring a strong foundation in one of the listed areas and are motivated to learn the others. Position responsibilities can span from compliance testing to penetration testing, depending on skillset.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Peterson SFB, CO

JOB STATUS: FT

TRAVEL: 10%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree and 3-10 years of applicable experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active Secret and U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving skills in the area of software engineering.
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of the following: Linux, Windows, VMware, Kubernetes, Elastic, Git, Robot Framework, Selenium, Bash, PowerShell, Cypress, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Git, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Docker, Jenkins, and VSCode.
  • Programming or scripting skillset (Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell).
  • Ability to examine and debug failures in automated scripts.
  • Ability to maintain test automation frameworks in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with fellow TAEs and development team in creating test automation plans and reporting.
  • Development tools and services, and current IDE.
  • Basic understanding of Software Security and Open Source, cloud and virtualization software and services.
  • Knowledgeable on various Software Development Lifecycles.
  • Development methodologies (agile, waterfall).
  • Test automation using Jenkins (build continuous integration jobs), Robot Framework, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will assist in providing test automation research, development, test and evaluation support for all phases of test automation as the recognized technical expert.
  • Will assist in Software Engineering support, will cover entire test automation conception, emerging research and test to fielding decisions.
  • Research, design, develop, and/or modify test automation using various industry tools for systems and/or applications software.
  • Planning of system automation deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards
  • Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
  • Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
