JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, in Hershey, PA, is hiring a Postdoctoral Scholar interested in a clinical research career focused on externalizing pathology across the lifespan. The post-doctoral scholar will work directly under the mentorship of Dr. Dara Babinski, with additional opportunities for mentorship from others within the Attention and Behavior Clinic within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health (https://sites.psu.edu/abcresearchprogram/). This is a 1-2 year position depending on training needs. The post-doctoral scholar will have the opportunity to work on a number of NIMH-funded projects broadly focused on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), personality disorders, and the intersection of externalizing pathology with sex and gender. The post-doctoral scholar will be expected to help support management of ongoing projects and develop their skills through independent research and mentorship. They will plan, conduct, analyze, and synthesize data, write and submit scientific manuscripts, and present research results at local and national scientific conferences. There will be opportunities for clinical assessment, intervention, and supervision for trainees interested in obtaining licensure as a clinical psychologist.

A Ph.D. degree in the field of clinical psychology or a closely related field is required by the start date.A successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (both oral and written) skills. Experience with psychophysiological (e.g., EEG) and ecological momentary assessment data analysis will be viewed positively.
