Role Summary:
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Networking & Datacom Sales Representative position is a key member of the Sales team. The person in this role will provide Networking / Datacom focus for the Inside Sales team and product support for the Network Specialist and our valued customers. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who is self-directed, a strong collaborator, critical problem solver, and who enjoys owning a wide breadth of responsibilities. There will also be opportunities for onside visits to our customers with the goal of building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer experience.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Networking & Datacom Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Providing inside sales quoting, customer relationship building and project management support for Kendall's Industrial Networking/Datacom portfolio. This portfolio includes Network Infrastructure, Hardware and Software products offered by Rockwell Automation, Panduit, Hubbell, Cisco, Isonas, Digital Watchdog and other partnering manufacturers sold by Kendall Electric
  • Sell company products and services to customers contacting the branch by gathering information about their needs, providing technical assistance when required, quoting, soliciting orders, and suggesting additional products in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
  • Clarify customer's understanding of products and services; answering questions; expediting orders; and offering relevant information
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Work Experience: 3 years' experience in Industrial or Distribution field working with customers
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of skills, experience, or education
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; ability to collaborate with and engage additional commercial or technical resources when appropriate; Business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills
