Role Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Compensation Vice President to join our Total Rewards team to lead and enhance our comprehensive compensation framework.

This pivotal role involves overseeing a broad spectrum of compensation elements including base salary, variable compensation, deferred compensation, commissions, and carried interest. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the strategic planning, design, implementation, and governance of these compensation programs, targeting our most senior executives. This role demands a proactive approach, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across business leadership, Human Resources, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure compliance and effective execution of compensation strategies.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the primary authority on all compensation-related matters, leveraging deep expertise to drive process enhancements and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and senior management to develop compelling compensation packages for new hires and existing employees, ensuring clear communication and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of emerging trends and regulatory changes in compensation, recommending timely adjustments to maintain competitive and compliant programs.
  • Spearhead the communication strategy for compensation initiatives, enhancing participant understanding and appreciation of the value provided by PIMCO's Total Reward offerings.
  • Innovate in the management and analysis of compensation data, utilizing advanced tools such as Excel, Workday (Adaptive Planning), and external vendor platforms to produce insightful analytics and streamlined reporting.
  • Manage vendor partnerships effectively, pushing boundaries to maximize service delivery and achieve excellence in operational functions.
  • Formulate data-driven strategies to enhance the efficacy and reach of various compensation programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in compensation design and delivery, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Workday and other compensation management systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in managing complex compensation structures and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with Workday and/or Beqom preferred.
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 175,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
