We are seeking a Vice President (Director) for Product Management. This is a hands-on leadership role handling a portfolio of modernizing capabilities aligned to a common set of objectives that drives OMF's core lending business. The role is responsible for setting and evangelizing the vision that achieves business objectives, such as growth in new money, reduction in costs and transition to a modern target state tech platforms. Consistent engagement with senior executive and front-line stakeholders is paramount to build consensus and drive decisions. The role will partner with an Engineering Leads who will drive the technical agenda and workforce in delivering against the Product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with business and engineering leadership, develop and communicate the product vision, OKRs for the product lane, ensuring this aligns with the broader business strategy.

  • Create and maintain a clear and actionable product roadmap that balances short term objectives with long term goals, and prioritizes initiatives based on impact and feasibility.

  • Supervise, mentor and guide a team of product managers, foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally, have a deep understanding of competitive dynamics and ensure product development is aligned with market needs and capabilities.

  • Develop detailed product requirements, manage product backlog, plan releases and ensure that work is aligned with delivery of the OKRs. Proactively manage and mitigate risks.

  • Regularly update executive teams on product performance, challenges and successes, using the key performance indicators. Make data driven recommendations for product evolution.

  • Change Management: Ability to manage change in a dynamic environment and lead teams through periods of transition.

  • Domain Expertise: Experience in building modern credit, pricing and data science platforms or platforms of similar complexity in a reputed financial services or financial technology organization.

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in a plan, build and/or operation role in a high performing technology powered product organization. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, New York City, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX. We do not provide relocation assistance if outside a core location.

Target base salary range is $170k - $190k, which is based on various factors including skills, work experience, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
