Summary of Job Duties:Instruct up to 9 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing need.

This position will teach Machining Labs to high school students and traditional college students.
The Adjunct Machining Instructor is responsible for student assessment and grading, planning and organizing instruction in ways that maximize documented student learning. The Instructor will adopt methods that fairly measure student progress toward student learning outcomes and evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student work promptly to promote maximum learning. Delivery of instruction for day classes.

The Adjunct Machining Instructor will maintain an adequate on-campus presence, providing timely communication with students, staff and administrators of the College and utilize the institution's LMS, Blackboard Ultra.

Special Assignments may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

* Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 5-7 years of industry experience

* Experience in layout and benchwork, operation of milling machine, lathe, bandsaw, drill press, disk and belt sander, grinder, measuring instruments, basic hand tools and other shop equipment

* Have a passion for the discipline and a commitment to a student-centered philosophy in support of academic excellence for diverse groups of learners

* Excellent interpersonal skills in communication with students, colleagues, staff and administrators as an individual or as a part of a team

* Ability to modify when appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit grade rosters each semester according to established deadlines

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Preferred experience with 3D printing and CAD
