Upstate Companies is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Pay will be based on experience. Upstate offers Trust (Prevailing Wage Work),401K with employer match, Health Benefits. Minimum 5 years experience Excavator, Dozer, Loader 3-5 years Under Ground Utility Experience preferred Site Grading and Layout Trimble GPS experience a Plus Valid state driver's license. Read, write and communicate in English Works well in a team environment with other co-workers and managers Self-motivated Must be flexible and able to work extended or unusual hours as the need arises. Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers. When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements. Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site. Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment Perform general labor duties when necessary. Must be able to work in all weather conditions Must be able to work overtime. Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions. Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change. Ability to work with a variety of personalities. Perform other duties as assigned. OSHA 10 CDL desired- not mandatory
