Position Highlights:

  • Position: Starbucks Barista
  • Hourly Pay Range: $16.48 - $25.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Elmhurst Hospital
  • Part Time | 20 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, between 6 AM - 7 PM with rotating weekends

What you will do:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.
  • Serves customers and takes orders.
  • Prepares and serves hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea and specialty beverages.
  • Describes menu items and suggests products to customers.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues
  • Receives and processes customer payments.
  • Receives and distributes stock supplies.
  • Communicates information to manager so the team can respond to create the appropriate environment during each shift.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge the promotes the culture, values and mission of the EEH System and Starbucks.

What you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or in progress of obtaining
  • Certification: Successful completion of a Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI Accredited) within 30 days of employment required
  • Experience: 1 year of coffee shop experience preferred
