Position Overview: The Transportation Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role involves working closely with drivers, clients, and logistics teams to plan and monitor transportation routes, manage schedules, and resolve any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Scheduling: Develop and manage transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods and efficient use of resources. Route Planning: Optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules to reduce costs and improve service levels. Coordination: Collaborate with drivers, clients, and logistics teams to address scheduling needs and resolve any transportation-related issues. Monitoring: Track and monitor the progress of transportation activities, providing real-time updates to clients and internal teams. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any scheduling conflicts, delays, or disruptions in transportation operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, routes, and delivery statuses. Communication: Provide clear and timely communication to all stakeholders regarding schedule changes, delays, and other relevant information. Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on transportation performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery rates and cost efficiency. Pay Transparency Notice Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
