Clearance Coordinator

DecisionPoint is seeking a Clearance Coordinator to join our team in Atlanta providing On-demand operational, technical, and scientific subject matter expertise support that addresses response-related requirements enabling CDC to rapidly expand its capacity to respond to public health emergencies.

The Division of Emergency Operations (DEO), with support of the Office of Readiness and Response (ORR), is actively working to enhance and augment CDC's approach to preparedness and response for Public Health Emergencies which supports the development and implementation of the CDCReady Responder Program.

This is 100% onsite position.

Leverage expert knowledge across CDC's IMS to coordinate rapid clearance of response-related documents, which include scientific guidance and manuscripts, communication products, and press materials.
• Coordinate with the emergency response clearance community, including task force clearance coordinators, SMEs, response leadership, and other CDC stakeholders, to ensure clearance is efficient and effective.
• Provide suggestions to leadership to improve the emergency response clearance process as the event evolves.
• Uses eClearance, CDC's system for clearing documents, to facilitate clearance of all communication materials developed during a public health emergency.
• Maintain various clearance tracking products to provide SA reports to JIC and response leadership.
• Monitor the JIC Emergency Clearance functional mailbox and respond to all inquiries.

• Associate's Degree or proven work experience as an operations coordinator, emergency management specialist, or health communication specialist.
• 4 years of work experience.
• Public Trust Clearance.
• Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Mail)
• Ability to effectively communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy.
• Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.
• Ability to multitask in emergency situations.
• Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency.
• Interpersonal communication: telephone, email, and business etiquette.
• Strong proofreading skill and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
