About the role: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be an individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the area possessing the complex, or specialized projects; adapt precedent and potentially making departures from traditional approaches to develop resolutions in addition to coaching and reviewing work of lower-level professionals. You will report to the Manager of RV & CV Design and Analysis providing project support like technical support and calculations using engineering software. You will also develop design documentation for hardware. You will work a hybrid scenario requiring 2 days per week on-site at the manager's discretion. You will be based in the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. We can consider applicants able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future. Responsibilities: Provide technical support for assigned work performed in design and analysis. Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses. Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports. Work with technical leads, project managers, and customers in the coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope Occasionally traveling to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.
