THE ROLE

The Director, Marketing supports in the oversight and shares accountability for all aspects of marketing the Providence family of brands for service and product offerings in assigned markets and shares responsibility for managing the health metrics and achievement of marketing objectives for the Providence family of brands with the VP Marketing. This includes active oversight of all marketing campaigns to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, standardization of deliverables and overall go-to-market process. Additionally, the Director, Marketing will be responsible for helping drive the development, implementation and measurement of all campaigns, outlining clear and attainable goals and objectives, and working with creative resources (internal and external), media, communication/PR, website, research, digital and social to bring them to life. To further the meaning of the Providence family of brands and amplify impact in market, the Director, Marketing plays an important management role on the marketing team and participates in creation of marketing strategy, nurturing key stakeholder relationships and driving the execution of marketing activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Leads the development of marketing plans for the assigned market.
  • Works in partnership with strategy and business development teams to understand business and strategic priorities to ensure marketing plans and activities are well aligned.
  • Leads the development of all marketing assets and collateral created to support of initiatives and all marketing tactics in support of products to ensure alignment to brand guidelines from both a creative and media standpoint.
  • Develops clear briefs for the creative service team to act upon; manages the development of creative deliverables.
  • Manages marketing plan execution in market and collaboration with functional experts to execute campaigns.
  • Partners with research to understand the brand awareness/perception (A&P) in all markets served and takes appropriate action to improve or further these metrics.
  • Partnering with the Senior Director, Marketing, monitors market and industry to understand competitive and environmental landscape to make appropriate marketing strategy recommendations proactively.
  • Works in alignment with communication leads to understand potential impact of media messages in market, as well as works in conjunction to develop reactive/proactive communication strategies and plans.
  • Maintains/nurtures key stakeholder relationships, representing marketing in strategic and operational discussions.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field; or equivalent educ/experience
  • 7 years of experience in a marketing role with a focus on strategy development and campaign execution
  • Health care industry experience
  • Track record of implementing core principles of brand, marketing, communications and public relations
  • Experience working with print media, public relations, trade shows, retail merchandising, collateral, social media metrics and online platforms
  • Superior understanding of implementing core principles of brand, marketing, communications and public relations
  • Demonstrated ability to consult to varying levels of marketing professionals, providing clear, concise, consistent direction without full ownership of a given program. Advanced ability to translate data into action-taking high-level metrics and using them to drive strategy and plan development
  • Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
  • Superior leadership, teamwork and team development skills with the ability to influence/inspire others and to act independently with minimal direction. Lifelong learner and a strong people developer
  • Ability to demonstrate successful strategic thinking, planning and project management skills. Ability to manage internal and external creative resources efficiently and effectively
  • Knowledge of working with print media, public relations, trade shows, retail merchandising, collateral, social media metrics and online platforms
  • Outstanding analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
  • Accomplished listener, able to respond to results and consumer research
  • Organized and methodical with the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time; work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
