Position description

The Environmental Studies Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach course(s) in Environmental Studies-related topics for upcoming openings. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from 33% to 100% time.

The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of Environmental Studies and at least 3 years teaching experience OR 3 years professional experience in one or more of the following fields:

* Coastal Law and Policy

* Conservation Planning

* Diet & Global Climate Change

* Ecological Restoration

* Endangered Species Management

* Environmental Ecology

* Environmental Econ & Policy

* Environmental Education

* Environmental History

* Environmental Law

* Environmental Politics & Policy

* Environmental Risk and Vulnerability

* Environmental Studies/Sciences

* Food Security

* Industrial Ecology

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with a terminal degree (Ph.D., J.D. or M.F.A.) in at least one of the aforementioned fields.
