Job Overview

As a Program Manager, Events, you will help bring Relativity's mission to life -- to organize data, discover the truth, and act on it -- by designing and delivering event programs that engage our community and deepen relationships with our customers and partners.

This role owns Relativity's presence at Tier 1 trade shows, serving as the lead planner, production owner, and on-site point of contact. With minimal supervision, this person leads programs from planning through execution, partners with Brand and cross-functional teams to bring creative vision to life and proactively solves project challenges to deliver high-impact, operationally sound experiences that support broader business goals.

Must be located in the Chicago-land area for our in-office 2 days a week requirement.

Job Description and Requirements

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a seamless event experience -- in person, virtual, and hybrid -- for participants, sponsors, vendor partners, and staff
  • Serve as the lead production owner of Relativity's presence at Tier 1 industry tradeshows (e.g., Legalweek, ILTACON), from planning through execution. This includes pre-planning tasks such as floor space selection, contract negotiation, and sponsorship packages.
  • Act as team advisor and may become actively involved in meeting project objectives and resolving problems
  • Own the full program lifecycle: developing RFPs, budgeting, contracting and negotiations, site selection, housing for attendees, and meeting specifications (e.g., menu planning, logistics, audio visual, space assignments, signage, etc.)
  • Partner closely with the Brand team to concept and develop engaging trade show environments that bring Relativity's broader brand vision to life.
  • Bring creative ideas and experiential recommendations to the Brand team, helping translate creative direction into functional, impactful physical experiences.
  • Own booth production and ensure layouts, signage, demo areas, meeting spaces, hospitality, activations, and other customer touch-points work cohesively within the overall experience.
  • Manage tradeshow budgets, exhibitor logistics, and vendor relationships (booth build, drayage, AV, lead retrieval technology) to maximize ROI and brand impact at flagship events
  • Partner with Sales and Demand Generation on tradeshow lead capture, qualification workflows, and post-show follow-up to ensure pipeline impact is tracked and reported
  • Ensure events and content delivery strategies are aligned with Relativity's strategic objectives and support the broader legal data intelligence brand story
  • Maintain strong internal and external communications and develop relationships with all event stakeholders, including attendees, Relativity teammates, sponsors, and vendor partners
  • Provide on-site support by overseeing all arranged details of each program (e.g., attend pre-con, advance all functions, verify room set-ups, coordinate special events, ground transfers, VIP needs, meeting materials)
  • Work closely with the event production team to negotiate agreements with vendors, outside providers, and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service for all events
  • Help with planning logistics and generating enablement content for internal staff and event participants
  • Work closely with Relativity's marketing communications team to implement approved communication strategies for promoting the event; assist with establishing communication protocols and operating procedures with planning committees, vendors, and program staff
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks, developing solutions, and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Keep up with current events trends and technology, including AI-enabled event tools, and make recommendations for improvements as appropriate
  • Lead post-event operational debriefs, gather stakeholder feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and apply learnings to future programs.
  • Act as team advisor and may become actively involved in meeting project objectives and resolving problems.
  • Demonstrate Relativity Management Competencies (Embodies Personal Learning, Builds High-Performing Teams, Aligns Goals with Strategy, Makes Effective Decisions) in daily work, and seek opportunities to apply and enhance management skills to create sustainable success for Relativity

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of program/event management experience, ideally in B2B technology, SaaS, or professional services
  • Direct experience planning and leading a company's presence at Tier 1 industry tradeshows, including booth/exhibit management, floor space negotiation, and sponsorship strategy
  • Familiarity with lead retrieval and booth technology, and experience partnering with Demand Generation on tradeshow lead follow-up and ROI reporting
  • Hands-on experience with online event registration and management tools (e.g., Cvent) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Experience coordinating and motivating event staff
  • Demonstrated success in working on multi-million dollar events with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort using data and reporting tools to measure event performance and inform strategy
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong design aesthetic
  • Proven history of initiative, creativity, and self-motivation
  • Superb organizational skills; able to deftly manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Superior collaboration skills across interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with modern project management tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment with quickly shifting priorities

Minimum Qualifications
