Job Title: Director of IT - Infrastructure Leadership

About the Opportunity:
Build and shape a major enterprise IT organization from the ground up - influencing architecture, staffing, systems, processes, network design, operational standards, and technology strategy. The role combines high-level strategy with hands-on technical leadership, with significant input into building the future team and organizational design. It touches enterprise Microsoft systems, virtualization, large-scale networking, security, physical-security technology, construction coordination, and hospitality/entertainment operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead infrastructure, systems, networking, help desk/IT support, and growing cybersecurity/compliance functions for a large, scaling property.
  • Build out and mentor a senior technical team across systems, networking, and help-desk functions, while personally troubleshooting when needed.
  • Establish processes, standards, SOPs, and operational discipline for an environment that is still building out its processes.
  • Partner with executives, vendors, architects, construction teams, and operational stakeholders on technology planning and execution.
  • Evaluate the downstream impact of infrastructure and network changes before implementation.
  • Coordinate with the existing director responsible for hotel/commercial application systems, and with an external network integrator/MSP during the transition and scaling period.
  • Support operational/security technology, including access control and surveillance systems.
  • Read architectural/construction plans and partner with architects and construction teams on technology planning tied to an active construction and growth phase.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • 10 years minimum infrastructure/systems experience, with tangible, hands-on technical experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server.
  • Minimum 7 years of VMware experience, including virtual infrastructure, high availability/fault tolerance, licensing, SAN design/buildout, and substantial server environments.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Enterprise infrastructure, systems architecture, cybersecurity, and complex network experience.
  • Experience with segmented networks, large-scale Wi-Fi, Fortinet firewalls, and Aruba ClearPass or comparable NAC.
  • BGP/carrier-routing experience preferred.
  • IT team leadership and experience scaling departments and headcount.
  • Experience working with technical teams, executives, vendors, architects, construction, and operations.
  • Experience with OT, surveillance, access control, or physical security systems.
  • Experience building IT infrastructure from the ground up, particularly in a new construction or rapid-growth environment.
  • Experience hiring and developing teams across help desk, systems, networking, infrastructure, and security.
  • Experience planning future IT organization structure as the business grows.
