Digital Content Analyst (part-time)

We are seeking a Digital Content Analyst to support a growing digital content program focused on publishing, optimizing, and scaling high-quality educational content.

This is an entry-to-junior level opportunity ideal for a digitally savvy, highly organized professional who thrives on speed, accuracy, and getting content across the finish line.

The primary focus of this role is CMS content production and publishing. You will upload and format digital articles, select imagery, optimize content for search, manage internal linking, and help ensure assignments move efficiently through the content-production pipeline.

You'll also work within an evolving AI-assisted content environment, using AI tools to improve efficiency while applying strong editorial judgment to ensure final content meets established quality and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Publish and manage digital articles within a Content Management System (CMS), including Sanity or similar platforms.
• Accurately upload and format text, imagery, links, and interactive media according to established standards.
• Select and upload appropriate stock hero imagery for digital articles.
• Apply proper content structure and formatting, including H1, H2, and H3 hierarchy.
• Identify and add relevant internal links to supporting content, category pages, and product pages.
• Optimize metadata, image alt text, URLs, and other on-page elements for search performance.
• Apply fundamental on-page SEO best practices across published content.
• Track content assignments and help move deliverables efficiently through the production pipeline.
• Monitor schedules and proactively identify workflow bottlenecks that could impact publishing timelines.
• Incorporate AI tools into daily content workflows to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Review AI-generated content with a critical editorial eye, identifying inconsistencies and making appropriate edits before publication.
• Proofread and edit content for accuracy, readability, formatting, and adherence to established guidelines.
• Communicate proactively regarding assignments, roadblocks, and project status.
• Adapt to evolving CMS integrations, AI workflows, and content-production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related digital field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in digital content coordination, content operations, copywriting, SEO, web publishing, or a fast-paced content environment.
• Hands-on experience working within a CMS; experience with Sanity CMS is highly preferred.
• Understanding of fundamental on-page SEO, including internal linking, metadata, heading structure, and image optimization.
• Practical familiarity with generative AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or similar writing/workflow platforms.
• Ability to use AI responsibly as a productivity tool while independently evaluating the quality and accuracy of its output.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without significant day-to-day oversight.
• Strong written communication, proofreading, and text-editing skills.
• Ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly.

• A self-sufficient working style-you can receive an assignment, understand what's needed, and efficiently move it through completion.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position means being able to take approved or AI-assisted content and efficiently turn it into a polished, properly structured, search-friendly digital article.

You'll be expected to work accurately and efficiently, use good judgment when making content and layout decisions, and help reduce the amount of hands-on publishing work required from the broader content team.

This role is particularly well suited for someone who enjoys the executional side of digital content and is interested in how CMS technology, SEO, editorial judgment, and AI can work together to produce content at greater scale.

Schedule & Engagement

This is a remote, part-time contract opportunity, initially expected to require approximately 5-10 hours per week.

The person selected should have some availability during standard business hours, be responsive to assignments and communications, and be comfortable working in an environment where content processes, CMS integrations, and AI-assisted workflows continue to evolve.

Hours and responsibilities may grow over time based on business needs, content volume, and the individual's ability to support additional AI-assisted content and editorial work.
