Position Summary Develops and directs the Career Center's comprehensive programs and services to meet the career advancement needs and goals of both undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering. Develops, oversees and maintains systems and programs for the Engineering Career Center: staff development, employer relations, student outreach activities, financial management; along with the annual Engineering Career Fairs. Duties & Responsibilities Directs the Engineering Career Center, by establishing the strategic direction of the services and programs to develop and advance the careers of undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering. Works directly with College of Engineering business office on financial operations including purchases, salaries, events and facilities. Hires, trains and develops Engineering Career Center staff; provides staff assessments and evaluations. Promotes active involvement in professional career-related associations and groups both on and off campus. Develops, oversees and fosters corporate and employer relations with executives, HR and alumni and student development programs. Serve on committees to represent the interests of the Center in meetings and initiatives with campuswide stakeholders. Plans, creates, coordinates and presents on-campus job fairs and career preparation workshops on a wide variety of career related topics. Prepares and presents related employment data and reports. Conducts research and keeps current on employment trends, career opportunities, occupational outlook, salary trends and career development practices. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education, HR, Counseling or a related field. 5 years of experience in Career Services, Business, HR, Counseling or a related field. Knowledge of career development and services, corporate recruitment or human resources. Communiation, organization, presentation, analytical and computer/pc skills. Proven track record of leading a team, organizing large and small scale events, and presenting to students and upper managment. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Education, Career Counseling, Higher Education, HR or a related field. 5 years of administrative and/or leadership role experience in career services or a higher education career related role. Knowledge of Higher Education, career development, corporate recruitment, placement and career services. Job platform systems, financial/budget managment and project management skills. Ability to research and compare outside vendors; developing curriculum and training faculty.
