Division Information Dynacraft,a PACCAR Company, is headquartered inMcKinney, TX.Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company's truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services.Dynacraft's manufacturing facilitiesarelocated in Louisville, KY, andMcKinney, TX. Requisition Summary The Unit Manageris responsible forensuring that all Dynacraft standards are consistentlymaintainedacross operations. This role supports the enforcement of PACCAR and Dynacraft values andmission, with a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and adherence toestablishedprocesses and procedures. The Unit Manager oversees production and/or distribution activities while promoting continuous improvement and employee engagement. Job Functions / Responsibilities Document safety incident investigations including root cause analysis and follow-up actions. Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement. Participate in projects related to recruitment, training, and leadership development. Benchmark other PACCAR locations and non-PACCAR locations for best practices. Participate in developing and executing departmental goals andobjectives. Spend at least 25% of time on the floor in areas under responsibility,assistingteam leaders withissuesresolution and working on continuous improvement projects. Participate in special assignments; Six Sigma/continuous improvement activities, PACCAR-wideinitiativesand other projects. Supervise hourly team members engaged in the activities of the production and/or distribution departments. Complete root cause analysis documentation for quality related issues and process/product audits. Logistically manage the deployment of shop floor team members. Assign dutiesin accordance withestablished schedules and customer requirements. Provide MDC Plant management withtimelyinformationregardingchanges in assigned workloads or staffing requirements. Train and evaluate performance of department team members; provide regular feedback; prepare employee evaluations; recommend disciplinary action as may beappropriate. Conduct daily communication meetings with team members. Assure correct andtimelyprocessing and documentation of transactions and work orders. Provide order status andsignificant eventsin daily shift tie-in asrequired. Communicate with other departments asrequiredonplant relatedissues and follow-up tasks. Recognize team members for outstanding performance. Skills & Qualificiations Ability to supervise, make decisions, and use independent judgment and/or action. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability tomaintainconfidentiality of sensitive materials and issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong PC skills, includingproficiencyin Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, UnderstandingofSix Sigma Minitab software is a plus. A minimum of two-years production/distribution supervisory experience is required. Education High School Diplomarequired. Bachelor's degree preferred.
