The Patient Care Technician Intern (PCT Intern) works under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide compassionate, hands-on patient care. This role includes performing routine patient care activities and delegated clinical procedures, documenting and communicating patient information, and using specialized equipment to support a safe, high-quality care environment. The PCT Intern develops foundational clinical skills while gaining valuable experience caring for patients in a collaborative healthcare setting. This role is part of the float pool, where you will function in three key capacities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 patient observation
  • Offer camera monitoring for patients
  • Serve as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the unit as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification on Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS CPR certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
