OVERVIEW

Merrick is looking for an Electrical Field Technician to join our Nuclear Services & Technology Team in Aiken, South Carolina. Local candidates only.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead field operations and provide technical troubleshooting to identify and resolve on-site issues.
  • Provide technical support to on-site teams to proactively identify and resolve operational roadblocks.
  • Translate engineering diagrams, drawings, and documents provided by Engineers to the fabricator; answering fabricator questions if possible.
  • Oversee equipment installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Generate and submit daily and monthly reports of work done indicating project progress.
  • Ensure and maintain safety of on-site equipment.
  • Verify contractor submission of weekly construction progress.
  • Engage in reporting, week-ahead, inter-team, and contract meetings to support alignment, coordination, and project objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and industry related technical knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Client projects for this position require U.S. citizenship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
