Job Title: Project Lead 3

Location(s): Austin, TX

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead 3 to support a Technical Project Manager on a data engineering and AI adoption program. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project deliverables, supporting cloud and data engineering initiatives, and ensuring alignment between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing enterprise data, analytics, and cloud-based projects, along with strong project management, stakeholder communication, and organizational skills. PMP certification is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical projects.
  • Support enterprise data engineering and AI adoption initiatives.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into project plans and deliverables.
  • Develop project charters, schedules, milestones, status reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate activities across business, engineering, analytics, AI, and vendor teams.
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Track project deliverables and ensure successful implementation.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Work closely with data engineers, architects, developers, analysts, and business partners.
  • Support cloud platform and data pipeline initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, governance, compliance, and project management best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading technical projects in data, analytics, and cloud environments.
  • 10+ years managing data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives.
  • 10+ years delivering business intelligence, analytics, and big data projects.
  • 10+ years supporting healthcare data initiatives (knowledge of FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
  • Experience defining project scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and resource planning.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
  • PMP certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of compliance, security, and data governance.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, enterprise architecture, and information management principles.
  • Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Consulting and facilitation experience.
  • Customer-focused communication skills.
  • Additional certifications such as PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
