Systems Administrator *Location:* Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
*Work Authorization:* U.S. Citizens only *Clearance Requirement:* Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance *Experience Level:* Intermediate Position Overview This is not a traditional service desk role. We are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator who can effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues within Microsoft Intune-managed environments while supporting desktop operations, endpoint management, security compliance, and network-related challenges. The ideal candidate takes ownership of issues from initial diagnosis through resolution, balancing user experience, security requirements, and operational efficiency while working in a large-scale, highly regulated enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities * Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft Intune issues, including: * Device configuration * Policy deployment * Compliance failures * Software deployment * Provide enterprise desktop support, including: * Windows operating systems * Hardware troubleshooting * End-user support * Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including: * DNS * VPN * Firewall-related access restrictions * IP/Port filtering * URL filtering * Support security and compliance initiatives, including: * Endpoint hardening * Policy enforcement * Audit readiness * Manage issues across multiple disciplines, including: * Endpoint management * Desktop support * Security * Asset management * Take ownership of problems and drive them through resolution independently. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field * 3+ years of relevant IT experience * Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance * Experience using Microsoft 365 tools in a professional environment * Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently * Hands-on experience managing enterprise desktops in a Microsoft Intune environment * Experience troubleshooting and administering Windows operating systems in an enterprise setting * Experience with network access controls, including IP/Port and URL filtering * Familiarity with Azure Entra ID, Intune, and enterprise security controls * Understanding of compliance frameworks and security baselines such as CIS Benchmarks and STIGs * Ability to work onsite in the Indianapolis area Required Skills Microsoft Intune * Device and application management * Device enrollment and provisioning * Compliance troubleshooting * Policy implementation and administration * Security hardening * Password and device control policies Windows Administration * Enterprise desktop support * Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting * Operating system administration * Asset management Microsoft 365 * User support and administration * Productivity and collaboration tools Preferred Qualifications * Experience with: * IP addressing * Subnetting * Basic routing concepts * Firewall administration experience * URL filtering management * VoIP support experience * Endpoint security and compliance management Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be: * A self-starter who requires minimal direction * Comfortable owning projects and technical issues end-to-end * Highly collaborative across support, security, and infrastructure teams * Strong in Intune administration and Windows support * Skilled at troubleshooting across endpoint, security, and networking domains * Motivated to continuously improve processes and operations Top Skills * Microsoft Intune * Windows Administration * Microsoft 365 (M365) *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $37.48 - $37.48/hr.
