Auria is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist II. This role is ONSITE at the headquarters at 1755 Telstar Drive, Suite 400, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
The IT Support Technician II will provide advanced Tier 1 support with limited Tier 2 responsibilities, including deeper troubleshooting, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to process improvements. The Senior IT Support Technician will handle escalated issues, support workstations and mobile environments, manage M365 accounts, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality end-user support. This position requires strong technical proficiency, excellent prioritization skills, reliability and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers. The Senior IT Support Technician plays a key role in maintaining operational stability and supporting the IT Service Delivery Manager in daily service operations.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Provide high-quality Tier 1 support and handle some escalated Tier 2-level issues when needed
- Diagnose and resolve more complex incidents involving Windows systems, M365 services, security groups, Duo MFA, networking, and approved applications
- Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals with minimal oversight
- Manage M365 user and group administration, including permissions, security groups, and shared resource access
- Support mobile device management, including enrollment, compliance, and troubleshooting
- Use NinjaOne for remote support, system monitoring, scripting, and health remediation
- Collaborate with junior technicians and provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and coaching
- Assist in developing documentation, improving the knowledge base, and refining support workflows
- Participate in new-hire onboarding, ensuring workstation readiness, account provisioning, and a smooth handoff
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures
- Maintain accurate hardware/software inventory and participate in lifecycle maintenance activities
- Escalate issues appropriately and keep management informed of high-impact incidents
- Adhere to IT policies, security guidelines, change management processes, and compliance requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, patience, and empathy
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field preferred, with 3-6 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience working on an IT help desk, technical support, or customer support with technical components
- IT Trouble shooting skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Windows workstation environments and Windows administration fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 user management, security groups, and productivity applications
- Experience with MFA, mobile device support, and basic to intermediate networking troubleshooting
- Familiarity with RMM tools such as NinjaOne for remote support, automation, or monitoring
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize competing demands, and handle escalations with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-first mindset and strong situational awareness
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve successful team service delivery
- High level of professionalism and integrity when handling sensitive information
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Apple Device Support, or Microsoft Fundamentals preferred.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, VPN) preferred
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $55,000 - $70,000
