Description

The Project Coordinator works under the direction of Project Management leadership and is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, administration, documentation, scheduling, reporting, forecasting, billing, and closeout of utility construction projects.

The Project Coordinator assists project teams in maintaining project schedules, budgets, documentation, communications, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Coordinator assists with project setup, document management, contract administration, meeting coordination, invoice processing, cost tracking, forecasting support, and project closeout activities. The Project Coordinator serves as a communication link between field operations, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project stakeholders.

Requirements

* Capacity to handle pressure.

* Willingness to travel extensively across the construction sites, as well as spend time in the office.

* Strong focus on quality.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important.

* Ability to assist in coordinating projects from initiation through closeout.

* Work with field personnel and subcontractors.

* One (1) to two (2) years of project coordination, project administration, construction, utility, or related business experience preferred. Other applicable experience may be considered.

* Strong organizational and document management skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Teams.

* SAP experience preferred.

* Ability to coordinate project meetings and maintain project records.

* Ability to prepare invoices and monitor project billing activities.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

* Must have knowledge in Microsoft Project; knowledge in Primavera P6 is a plus.

* Must be willing to participate in continuing education seminars, classes, and certifications.

* Knowledge and understanding of the importance of all safety requirements of a project.

* Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are key to the position.

BASIC QUALITIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of project coordination, project administration, construction, utility, or related business experience preferred. Other applicable experience may be considered.

Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards. Must be eligible to operate company-owned and company-leased vehicles.
