Construction Manager - Mechanical Systems

2-Year Project Assignment

Location: Childress, TX (100% On-Site)

Compensation: Competitive Salary + Per Diem + Comprehensive Benefits

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Wet/Dry Systems Construction Manager to lead mechanical construction activities on a large-scale, high-tech industrial project. Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee subcontractors, coordinate MEP systems, support startup and commissioning, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Childress, TX with an anticipated 2-year project assignment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage daily mechanical construction activities, including HVAC, exhaust, piping, and wet/dry systems.
  • Lead subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate MEP systems with civil, structural, and architectural teams.
  • Support system startup, commissioning, and owner turnover.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Verify construction completion and readiness for startup.
  • Serve as the on-site technical resource for mechanical construction issues.
  • Assist with budgeting, subcontractor management, and project staffing.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of mechanical construction management experience.
  • Experience on industrial, semiconductor, manufacturing, or other high-tech construction projects.
  • Experience supporting startup and commissioning activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera P6.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as project needs require.
