Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience wiring or installing electrical components, or completion of a technical vocational program
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
  • Strong reading-comprehension skills
  • Basic mathematical skills for technical measurements and specifications
  • Familiarity with tape measures, impact drills, wire crimpers, and related tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety practices
  • Ability to distinguish between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
  • Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, a hard hat, and hearing protection


Job Duties



  • Manufacture wiring subassemblies for low-voltage switchgear projects
  • Read and follow work orders, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, prints, and technical specifications
  • Crimp, strip, cut, pull, and bundle wires according to project plans
  • Label and mark wires accurately
  • Connect prepared wires to electrical components
  • Route wires and cables in a neat and orderly manner
  • Inspect wires, connections, and components for quality
  • Verify that completed assemblies meet established specifications
  • Use hand and power tools safely
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all production and workplace safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
