About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Are you passionate about building unforgettable product experiences that inspire tens of thousands of people? Do you thrive at the intersection of deep technical expertise and creative storytelling? The Keynote Demo Engineering team is looking for a Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of live product demonstrations for Salesforce's highest-profile events. You will partner with Salesforce's leadership to show the latest and greatest features for their products through out the year at World Tour keynotes, paid customer events, product launches, and the main keynote at Dreamforce.
This is not a consulting or advisory role. You will be hands-on; architecting demo environments, writing code, configuring orgs, integrating multiple products, and ensuring flawless execution at Salesforce's biggest global events. You'll work with leadership as part of a cross-functional team alongside Product Marketing Managers, Designers and Developers. You will own your demos end-to-end from concept through delivery, often personally showing them live on stage.
The work you do will be seen by C-suite executives, Fortune 500 customers, global partners, and thousands of Salesforce community members watching live and on Salesforce+. If you want to build the future of enterprise technology and show the world what's possible, this is the role for you.

About the Team

The Cross-Cloud Marketing Demo Team creates keynote demonstrations for Salesforce's most exciting moments. The team operates in a small group-based model where Technical Architects partner equally with Product Marketing Managers, Developers, and Designers to own demos from inception to live on stage. The team showcases available and visionary product capabilities that customers can deploy the day features are released, while maintaining the polish and reliability that keynote-level events demand.
We build demos spanning the entire Salesforce ecosystem - Agentforce, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and more. Our team supports public and internal events globally, from Dreamforce in San Francisco to World Tours in Paris, Tokyo, London, Sydney, and New York.
You will be hands-on in crunch moments with everyone's support, whether that's small bug fixes or reshaping an entire demo flow before showtime. Our team values creativity, technical rigor, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities Demo Architecture & Development
  • Design and build end-to-end demo environments across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated third-party systems
  • Architect multi-product demo flows (e.g., Agentforce Data Cloud Slack Tableau) that tell compelling customer stories
  • Create and manage Salesforce demo orgs (SDOs), Slack workspaces, and connected environments with proper data models, user personas, and integrations
  • Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and platform automation to bring demo stories to life
  • Build both "real product" implementations and creative workarounds (prototyped experiences, scripted interactions, browser extensions) when product constraints require it
  • Establish and maintain reusable proof patterns that accelerate future demo builds
Event Delivery & Live Demo Support
  • Own demo technical readiness for keynote events including rehearsals, code freezes, and live show support
  • Manage demo stability across multiple devices and presentation formats (stage screens, iPads, mobile devices)
  • Coordinate deployment timing and environment locks to ensure zero critical failures on stage
  • Create Demo Setup Guides (DSGs), clickpath documentation, and driving guides for speaker preparation
  • Optimize display settings and UI treatments for large-venue legibility (opacity transitions, screen bezels, resolution standards)
  • Support speakers during rehearsals and provide technical coaching on demo execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner equally with Product Marketing Managers and Designers within your working group - you share ownership of demo success
  • Build deep relationships with Salesforce product engineering teams to stay ahead of feature availability, GA timelines, and known limitations
  • Coordinate with production teams (show callers, video directors, AV specialists) on technical integration and timing
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders about build status, risks, and tradeoffs - especially when live stage demos require explicit escalation to product teams
  • Collaborate with localization teams for multi-language and multi-market demo delivery
Technical Strategy & Innovation
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce features and recommend which to showcase in upcoming demos
  • Make architectural decisions about build approaches: real product vs. mocked, single-org vs. multi-org, live vs. static
  • Contribute to the team's proof pattern library covering core enterprise scenarios
  • Contribute to the teams enablement and distribution documentation for SE and global events
  • Drive continuous improvement in demo stability, build efficiency, and technical quality
  • Partner with development team members on complex builds
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform (development, administration, or solution architecture)
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative automation
  • Proficiency in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to work under extreme time pressure with high-stakes deadlines and live event delivery
  • Experience with org setup, configuration, data modeling, and environment management for complex demos or POCs
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and connected system architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - ability to work with non-technical partners (marketing, design, executives) to translate stories into technical solutions
  • Willingness to travel at least 33% (domestic and international) to support live events
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends during event preparation periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building live product demonstrations for large audiences (conferences, keynotes, executive briefings, or webinars)
  • Experience designing and building multi-cloud Salesforce solutions that integrate across products (Sales, Service, Marketing, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, Heroku or Agentforce)
  • Familiarity with Agentforce, AI agents, and agentic architectures (Agent Builder, prompt engineering, orchestration)
  • Experience with Slack platform development (Slack apps, Slackbot skills, workspace administration, federation)
  • Knowledge of Tableau integration and data visualization
  • Experience with Data Cloud, CDPs, or data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica)
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (Tampermonkey, Keyboard Maestro, browser extensions) for demo enhancement
  • Background in storytelling, presentation design, or demo scripting - understanding of how to create narrative tension and resolution through product capabilities
  • Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, or System Architect
  • Experience with version control (Git/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with mobile and device management for demo delivery on iPads and other devices
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced creative or production environment (media, advertising, event production, or similar)
What Makes This Role Unique

This is not a typical Technical Architect position. Here's what sets it apart:

  • Audience: Your work is presented live to tens of thousands at Dreamforce, World Tours, and Salesforce's highest-profile moments - not in a boardroom or a sandbox
  • Breadth: You'll build across the entire Salesforce ecosystem in a single quarter
  • Creativity: You're not implementing requirements - you're co-creating the story, designing the experience, and making technical decisions that serve narrative impact
  • Speed: Build cycles are measured in weeks, not months - you'll prototype, iterate, and ship faster than anywhere else at Salesforce
  • Visibility: Your demos are built with and delivered by Salesforce leadership
  • Innovation: You'll be among the first to work with unreleased features and shape how the world first sees new Salesforce capabilities
  • Impact: When done right, your demos don't just impress - they become the reference architecture that customers and partners adopt
Additional Information
  • Location: San Francisco, CA (preferred); Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; or Mexico City remote with travel to events
  • Travel: At least 33% (major events including Dreamforce, World Tours, product launches)
  • Reports to: Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Keynote Demo Team
