Salary Exempt (United States of America) *This position is responsible for establishing and enforcing corporate inventory control and management policies and deadlines throughout Altium facilities.
*This role is the functional owner of warehouse processes and enablement including deployment across all Altium production sites and warehouse locations.
*This position completes tasks in accordance with all relevant regulatory requirements, standard operating policies/procedures, and applicable laws.
*This role interacts with staff at all levels to define and carry out inventory and warehouse tasks and project implementations, while identifying efficiencies to improve service levels.

Essential Functions (Roles/Responsibilities)

* Coordinate with the Customer Experience Planning team to execute safety stock coverage and inventory management aimed at enhancing customer service levels. Provide tools and training for Operations team members to effectively monitor safety stock levels, ensuring compliance with established requirements.

* Ensure that facilities have sufficient warehouse space and optimized layouts to store safety stock and operational inventories. Work with key stakeholders in Logistics and Procurement to define requirements for external warehousing needs.

* Optimize inventory control processes and lead efforts to reduce slow-moving/obsolete inventory in Altium facilities.

* Define and document warehouse operating systems, process standards, tools, and best practices, to ensure consistency and stability across Altium's network. Build and maintain a site that users can access for reference and training.

* Create implementation plans for various models of Warehouse Management Systems to be deployed at Altium facilities. Manage implementation plans, capital requests, and resources per deployment. Act as the Change Management Champion for all deployments.

* Align with key stakeholders to support projects related to production and/or warehouse automation, warehouse distribution networks, or seasonal inventory builds.

* Develop and publish monthly key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor the health of warehouse operations and inventory coverage. Analyze site performance and develop improvement action plans with Plant Managers for missed targets. Meet regularly with senior stakeholders to highlight improvements and identify sites needing additional attention or resources.

* Provide training and ongoing trouble-shoot support for inventory and warehouse processes. Be a subject-matter expert on ERP and WMS transactions related to inventory and warehouse functions.

* Coach warehouse leaders and team members on effective problem-solving and best inventory management and warehouse practices. Provide guidance on inventory strategy, optimized warehouse layout, equipment, and infrastructure.

* Lead continuous improvement and cost savings projects related to inventory management and warehouse processes, space optimization, material handling, and storage. Positively contribute to overall plant operations by identifying areas for continuous improvement, and participating in projects to improve processes.

* Participate in all Altium-assigned trainings, communications, and meetings.

Adhere to Altium requirements for safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Required Education and Experience

  • Certification or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Business, or other related field.
  • Three to five years of work experience related to inventory management activities.
  • Five to eight years of work experience related to warehouse management activities.
  • Experience with supporting or implementing process improvements.
  • Certification or work experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience with deploying continuous improvement projects to cross-functional teams.

Targeted Pay Range:

$149,000.00 - $186,900.00
