The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the generics program for national and medium-chain retail customers. This role serves as a functional expert in warehousing operations, administration, analytics, and generics programs. The Product Manager leads cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of generics programs, ensuring an exceptional customer experience through effective communication, operational excellence, and flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and communicate (written and verbal) subject matter expertise on generics products, programs & pricing

  • Develop customer facing presentations to support our strategic account field sales team to expand McKesson's footprint with Retail National Account customers

  • Manage the compilation, analysis, and reporting of data to forecast trends and support management of all aspects of the program, applying mathematical models and statistical techniques, to support national and medium chain customer growth and program functionality

  • Analyze customer purchasing trends to provide key insights to internal team members that can generate opportunities and mitigate risks within the segment

  • Utilize Excel to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modeling, and economic forecasting

  • Identify gaps and work closely with cross functional teams to implement process improvements

  • Build customer strategy aligned with North American Pharmaceutical Distribution strategy based on insightful knowledge of strategic account customers and their business models

  • Build and strengthen cross functional relationships with internal partners to ensure best in class service to national and medium chain customers

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business required

  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent experience preferred

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of program management experience or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of operations, inventory management, distribution or sourcing experience

  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload

  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced decision-making environment

  • Strong analytical capabilities. Excel spreadsheet skills and spreadsheet analysis techniques

  • Strong communication skills especially in the area of verbal/written communication with customers

  • Ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives

This role is a hybrid position. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$99,200 - $165,400
