The Senior Specialist, Sustainability supports the execution of Southwire's sustainability strategy by leading key initiatives, programs, reporting activities, and stakeholder engagement efforts. This role partners across the organization to collect and analyze sustainability data, support disclosure requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and drive progress toward corporate sustainability goals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical, project management, and communication skills who is passionate about advancing sustainability initiatives and creating measurable business value. Key Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Southwire's sustainability strategy, goals, and initiatives. Lead assigned sustainability projects and programs, ensuring timely execution and achievement of established objectives. Coordinate collection, validation, analysis, and management of sustainability performance data, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. Support preparation and publication of sustainability disclosures, reports, customer questionnaires, and external reporting requirements. Develop dashboards, tools, and reporting processes that track sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct research on sustainability trends, regulations, frameworks, and best practices and communicate impacts to business stakeholders. Partner with functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement initiatives that reduce environmental impacts, improve resource efficiency, and support business objectives. Assist with materiality assessments, benchmarking activities, and sustainability program evaluations.Engage internal and external stakeholders to support sustainability-related data requests, communications, and project execution. Promote sustainability awareness through presentations, training, communications, and participation in cross-functional initiatives. Bachelor's Degree Specialized Degree: Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or related field 5-7 Years of Experience Field(s) of Expertise: Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Corporate Responsibility, or related field Preferred Education & Experience
Master's degree Field(s) of Expertise: Corporate Sustainability, ESG Reporting, Environmental Management, Sustainability Strategy, or related field Strong understanding of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, disclosure standards, and emerging trends. Licenses/Certifications: GRI, ISSP, LEED, SASB/FSA, or other sustainability-related certification preferred Spans of Control
