Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), a national laboratory under the stewardship of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM), is seeking an accomplished and collaborative ERP Systems Engineer to join the Business Support Systems group.

The ERP Systems Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, optimization, integration, and continuous improvement of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. This role serves as a technical expert within the ERP Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring system stability, performance, security, and alignment with business objectives.

The ERP Systems Engineer collaborates with business stakeholders, functional analysts, developers, project managers, and vendors to support day-to-day operations, implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and drive ERP modernization initiatives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining a reliable and scalable ERP environment that supports finance, procurement, supply chain, projects, human resources, and other enterprise functions.

ERP Platform Administration
Administer and maintain the ERP environment, including system configurations, integrations, security, and performance monitoring.
Ensure ERP system availability, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
Coordinate system upgrades, patches, testing, and production deployments.
Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.

Technical Support & Operations
Serve as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point for ERP-related incidents and service requests.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving ERP applications, integrations, reporting, and data processing.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and system recovery activities.

Integration Management
Design, develop, monitor, and maintain integrations between ERP and enterprise applications.
Support APIs, middleware platforms, file-based integrations, and data exchange processes.
Collaborate with application owners to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
Monitor integration performance and resolve failures or data discrepancies.

ERP Enhancement & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
Participate in ERP roadmap planning and modernization initiatives.
Support implementation of new modules, functionality, and business capabilities.

Security & Compliance
Support ERP security administration, role-based access controls, and segregation of duties requirements.
Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain documentation supporting governance and audit requirements.

Reporting & Analytics
Support ERP reporting platforms, dashboards, and data analytics solutions.
Develop and maintain technical objects, extracts, interfaces, and reporting solutions.
Assist business users with reporting requirements and data analysis needs.

Project Participation
Participate in ERP projects from planning through deployment.
Provide technical leadership during system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Support testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
Contribute to project schedules, risk assessments, and implementation planning.

Documentation & Knowledge Management
Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
Document system configurations, interfaces, and support processes.
Contribute to ERP CoE knowledge repositories and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting ERP systems in a technical capacity.
  • Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting integrations, APIs, middleware platforms, and data interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, business processes, and enterprise application ecosystems.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and managing production support activities.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud.
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience supporting ERP Center of Excellence (CoE) operations.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and reporting technologies.
  • Experience with Agile and project management methodologies.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications.
