THE JOB

WM is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager in the Greater Boston area (north of Boston). The ideal candidate will have experience executing and supporting a wide array of Capital Projects spanning facility, digital and manufacturing space infrastructure, with a strong background of successful project engineering in the life sciences industry.

THE PROJECT DAY-TO-DAY



  • Responsible for supporting multiple capital projects that span facilities, cGMP manufacturing and digital infrastructure
  • Responsible for owning HVAC utilities and associated utilities scope on major capital projects
  • Manages and oversees the end-to-end project management lifecycle
  • Responsible for the development and management of Project Execution Plan and all associated documents
  • Provides input to control project costs
  • Provides input to control project schedule and owns own schedule
  • Manages and directs resources appropriately for the project
  • Guides the client in project decisions, ensuring the best solution for their business
  • Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team to deliver on goals and objectives of the project
  • Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
  • Maintains regular contact with client and reports on project progress, issues, and accomplishments to both the client & Wunderlich-Malec
  • Accountable for project or program success


THE WME EMPLOYEE-OWNER DAY-TO-DAY



  • Leads and provides direction and guidance for small to large, high-complexity, multi-disciplinary projects, and programs
  • Accountable for project or program success
  • Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team to deliver on goals and objectives of the project or program
  • Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
  • Works with all required functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project or program
  • Responsible for representing the client as an OPM as needed, managing third parties as a client representative


WHAT WE NEED



  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, Construction Management or related field)
  • 8+ years as a Project Engineering within the Life Sciences industry
  • Experience in life sciences required
  • Experience with HVAC required, with deep understanding of engineering principles and the ability to review and approve designs

Position Demands



  • Seeing, color perception, hearing, listening, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, ability to travel distances.
  • Travel - minimum 25% unless located nearby

    • Expectation is to be onsite 100% with client


  • Standard office environment: frequent use of personal computer, facsimile and copy machines, along with miscellaneous office equipment.
