Job Summary

The Business Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications that support operational efficiency, workflow automation, reporting, and data management across the organization. This role leverages Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online, to deliver scalable solutions for both internal users and external business partners. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong business analysis skills to translate operational requirements into user-friendly applications, automated workflows, and reporting solutions that drive business performance and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Build and enhance Power Apps Canvas applications to support business operations and user productivity.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, alerts, and business process automation.
  • Create and manage SharePoint Online lists, document libraries, permissions, and data structures.
  • Design, develop, and integrate Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional technical solutions and application designs.
  • Develop applications and tools that support both internal employees and external vendors or business partners.
  • Configure role-based security, user permissions, and secure data-sharing capabilities.
  • Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, reporting platforms, and external data sources.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications, workflows, and reporting solutions.
  • Develop tracking systems, operational tools, and reporting applications to support business objectives.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, improve user experience, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support ongoing application maintenance, user support, and system enhancements.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps, specifically Canvas Apps.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated workflows using Power Automate.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, including lists, document libraries, permissions, and data structures.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Understanding of application design principles, workflow logic, and user experience best practices.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and structured data management concepts.
  • Understanding of data integration methods and system architecture.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis, and data transformation.
  • Experience designing approval workflows, notifications, alerts, and business process automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a hybrid environment.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline required.


Work Experience



  • Experience developing business applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies required.
  • Experience building applications for both internal users and external business partners preferred.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and Power BI required.
  • Experience designing workflow automation, reporting tools, tracking systems, and operational applications required.
  • Experience integrating applications across enterprise systems preferred.
  • Experience with Dataverse or similar relational data platforms preferred.
  • Experience with APIs, external data connections, and system integrations preferred.
  • Exposure to Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar enterprise platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting secure user access management and permissions preferred.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Teams, Outlook integrations, DocuSign, Zoom, WebEx, or similar collaboration tools preferred.
  • Exposure to Python, artificial intelligence tools, and business process automation technologies preferred
