General Description: The Assistant Branch Manager supports the daily operations of the branch by providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with deposit and consumer loan products, and helping ensure branch operations run efficiently and in compliance with bank policies and procedures. This position serves as a resource for Branch Banking Specialists by providing guidance, training, and assistance with complex transactions while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In addition to deposit and teller responsibilities, the Assistant Branch Manager assists with consumer loan processing, branch security and cash management procedures, facility oversight, and other operational functions. This role works closely with the Branch Manager to support branch goals, promote teamwork, and ensure positive customer and employee experiences. Skills and Characteristics for Applicants: Qualified applicants should possess strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have banking or financial services experience, with a strong knowledge of deposit products, teller operations; previous exposure to consumer lending processes is preferred. Leadership experience, including training, mentoring, or assisting other team members, is beneficial. Successful candidates will be dependable, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent service while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
