Schedule: Onsite Monday, Tuesday & Thursday | Remote Wednesday & Friday

Duration: June 2026 - February 2027 (Temporary Assignment)

We're looking for a Senior Accountant - Inventory General Ledger to join our Finance team in Emeryville and provide critical support during a maternity leave coverage assignment.

What You'll Do



  • Play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Review and reconcile retail store inventory balances and related general ledger accounts.
  • Research accounting issues and ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business activities and resolve accounting matters.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.


What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, MultiView, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.


Preferred Qualifications



  • CPA designation.
  • Combination of public accounting and industry experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting background.
  • Retail, inventory, consumer products, or distribution industry experience.
