Position Summary

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Koyal Garg in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University (SLU), St. Louis, MO.

* This is a full-time position for two years. The stipend begins at $68,000 in year 1, with a 3% merit increase in year 2 based on performance.

* Additionally, the fellow will receive a benefits package and a travel allowance to present their research work at scientific conferences.

Required Qualifications

* We are seeking a driven postdoctoral candidate skilled in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and cellular/molecular biology. Our collaborative atmosphere values teamwork and curiosity.

* Candidates should excel in complex research, possess a Ph.D. or near completion in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, and have experience in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, biomaterials, animal models, histology, and biochemical techniques. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is required.

* Key responsibilities include conducting independent research, contributing to ongoing projects, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Upholding ethical research standards, assisting in grant proposals, and maintaining collegiality are also essential. Dr. Koyal Garg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at SLU.
