Cable Technician (Entry-Level) - Data Center Installation Location: New Albany, OH (Dublin, Hilliard, New Albany sites) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) Pay Rate: $22-$26/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM (OT and some Saturdays available) Start Date: Rolling / ASAP About the Opportunity We are hiring Cable Technicians to support large-scale data center infrastructure projects in the Columbus, OH area. This is a long-term opportunity with strong growth potential in a rapidly expanding industry. We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who want to build a career in low-voltage, telecommunications, or structured cabling. Key Responsibilities * Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cables according to industry standards (TIA/EIA) * Assist with cable dressing, labeling, and organization * Perform basic terminations (RJ45, patch panels) with guidance * Support punch-downs and telecom block connections * Assist with testing cables using industry tools (e.g., Fluke, EXFO) * Handle and support basic fiber cabling tasks * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site * Follow direction from supervisors and lead technicians Required Qualifications * Entry-level candidates welcome with prior labor experience * (construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar) * Strong attendance and reliability (critical for success) * Ability to work full-time schedule (non-negotiable hours) * Comfortable performing physical work and lifting up to 50 lbs * Able to pass drug screen and BGC * Cannot have prior experience working at this specific end-client environment or hold an active badge Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills * Low-voltage or structured cabling exposure * Cable pulling or installation experience * Basic understanding of telecommunications systems * Termination or punch-down experience Work Environment * Indoor construction and data center setting * Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting regularly * Work at heights (ladders up to 20 ft) and in tight spaces * Use of hand tools and equipment daily * Moderate noise level Why Join This Opportunity?
