Overview We are seeking a customer-focused *Customer Service Representative* to support participant engagement and provide high-quality service across phone and email channels. This role is responsible for assisting users with account access, answering program questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive overall experience.
This is a hybrid role requiring both on-site and remote work following training. Key Responsibilities * Provide excellent customer service with a focus on first-call resolution * Handle incoming phone calls, assigned emails, and escalated inquiries * Assist participants with registration, login, and account access issues * Guide users in navigating the platform and understanding available tools and programs * Answer participant questions related to applications and services within the portal * Document all interactions clearly and accurately in the system * Educate participants to prevent repeat inquiries when possible * Collaborate with internal teams on escalated or non-routine issues * Assist participants in completing surveys over the phone Qualifications * 1+ year of experience in a call center environment (required) * Strong customer service and problem-solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities * Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Strong attention to detail and listening skills * Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications * 1-3 years of experience in a technical or high-volume call center environment * Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are highly preferred * Experience supporting users with online platforms or applications Work Environment * Hybrid schedule (onsite and remote) * Must live within 1 hour of the Indianapolis, IN office * Required to work onsite twice per week after training * Office remains available for full-time onsite preference Training Information * *Schedule:* 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (ET) * *Format:* Fully onsite during training (approximately 2-4 weeks, based on readiness) * Hands-on training with continued onsite support before transitioning to hybrid Available Shifts (Post-Training) * 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM * 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM * 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM * 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM * 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM * (Shift is permanent once assigned) Home Office Requirements * Private workspace with a door (no distractions) * Ability to connect directly to the internet via Ethernet (Wi-Fi not permitted) * Work-from-home setup cannot substitute for childcare Additional Requirements * High School Diploma or GED * Strong reliability, professionalism, and attendance * Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime Why Join * Opportunity to support impactful programs that help individuals make informed decisions * Structured training and support to ensure success * Collaborative team environment with growth potential *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
