Our ecomm tech agency client is seeking an experienced Senior Ecommerce Strategist to serve as the lead product and digital strategy authority on a Web Optimization project. This is a long-term contract engagement at 100% allocation, supporting one of the world's most recognized travel and mobility brands as it transforms its digital commerce experience. While the initial focus is website conversion rate optimization, this role is positioned to grow into ownership of the global web presence and mobile app.

As the Senior Ecommerce Strategist you will serve as the senior product and digital strategy lead embedded on the account. In the near term, you will drive measurable improvements in website conversion performance - establishing the data-driven foundation, testing culture, and optimization rigor that will underpin a broader digital transformation. Over time, you will expand your scope to lead product strategy across global website and mobile application.

What You'll Do



  • Define and own the CRO strategy for the website project, identifying friction points and opportunities across the full purchase funnel
  • Build and manage an experimentation roadmap - prioritizing A/B and multivariate tests grounded in analytics and user research
  • Partner with UX, engineering, and analytics teams to design, execute, and evaluate optimization experiments
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and a reporting cadence to track conversion performance and communicate impact to stakeholders
  • Translate data and user insights into prioritized product decisions and clear user stories
  • Progressively take ownership of the global website product strategy as the engagement matures
  • Lead product vision and roadmap for the mobile app, collaborating with cross-functional engineering and design teams
  • Align digital product strategy across web and mobile to deliver a consistent, high-converting customer experience globally
  • Lead and mentor a growing cross-functional product team using Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks
  • Serve as a trusted senior advisor to leadership on digital commerce trends, platform capabilities, and competitive landscape


What You Bring



  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in digital commerce, product management, or digital strategy
  • Demonstrated success in conversion rate optimization - experimentation design, funnel analysis, and data-driven iteration
  • Experience leading e-commerce or digital product strategy at scale, ideally inclusive of global and/or mobile scope
  • Deep fluency in data and analytics, with the ability to turn insights into action
  • Strong command of UX principles and their application in high-transaction digital environments
  • Proven ability to lead product teams and manage senior stakeholder relationships
  • Experience delivering in Agile or SAFe environments
  • Preferred (not required): Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Quantum Metrics
