DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide important support for accounts payable and accounts receivable work that affects drivers and vehicle owners across the state. The work you will do will require attention to detail, teamwork, and a customer focused mindset. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Lead Work Duties: Assign work, review employee work, track errors, and support training for Clerical Assistant 2 staff
  • Claim Processing: Research accounts payable claims, apply regulations, and determine proper outcomes for customer requests
  • Invoice Management: Establish accounts receivable cases, apply payments, reconcile reports, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Customer Support: Respond to claimants and debtors through calls, letters, or email to explain decisions and gather needed information
  • Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to resolve issues related to accounts payable and receivable

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
