Description and Requirements

About Our Team

We are building Qira, Lenovo's next-generation cross-device Personal AI platform that delivers intelligent, context-aware experiences across Windows, Android, and the cloud.

This role focuses on leading the engineering strategy and execution for enterprise-grade AI platform capabilities, enabling Qira to be adopted by business customers at scale. You will play a key role in defining how AI-driven experiences are built, secured, integrated, and delivered across enterprise environments - from identity and access management to workflow automation and unified knowledge retrieval.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade AI platform capabilities, including identity federation, access controls, audit and compliance infrastructure, and multi-tenant deployment models.
  • Build and scale a high-performing engineering team - including distributed and international members - focused on enterprise integration, reliability, and scalability.
  • Contribute hands-on to technical design, architecture, and development alongside the team - this is a coding role as much as a leadership role, and the expectation is that you can build what you are directing others to build.
  • Drive the design and development of an enterprise administration portal that enables IT administrators at customer organizations to provision users, connect corporate identity providers, configure policies and permissions, manage phased rollouts, and monitor usage and audit activity across their Qira deployment.
  • Define how Qira systems authenticate, authorize, and interact with enterprise identity providers and corporate IT environments, ensuring seamless and secure adoption by business customers.
  • Drive the design and implementation of workflow automation use cases that connect Qira to the enterprise systems employees and IT teams use every day, enabling intelligent, agentic experiences across functions like employee onboarding, approval management, and productivity workflows.
  • Build and maintain close alignment with Lenovo's commercial and sales teams to gather enterprise customer requirements, shape go-to-market readiness, and ensure the engineering team is directly informed by what enterprises actually need to adopt Qira.
  • Translate commercial requirements - including security posture, deployment and configuration models, integration patterns, observability, manageability, identity, and audit - into concrete engineering programs and workstreams.
  • Coordinate engineering readiness for commercial milestones including previews, pilots, and general availability launches, ensuring the right technical checks, documentation, and quality gates are in place.
  • Provide technical input and ground-level signal to leadership on how product decisions will impact enterprise adoption, helping the team stay ahead of commercial requirements during development.
  • Establish engineering best practices for enterprise AI systems, including deterministic workflow design, observability, error handling, and end-to-end auditability.
  • Lead technical discovery with enterprise process owners to scope high-impact use cases, working backwards from business outcomes to define what gets built and in what order.
  • Oversee integration of Qira's knowledge layer with enterprise data sources, enabling unified retrieval across on-device and cloud-hosted content without requiring users to know where information lives.
  • Define and track success metrics for enterprise deployments - adoption rates, workflow completion, time-to-value - and build the observability infrastructure to surface them.
  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners and platform teams to define integration contracts, resolve cross-system issues, and optimize reliability at scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Experience managing and leading software Engineering teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
  • 12+ years of Experience building and scaling distributed systems, platforms, or real-time products.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated ability to serve as a hands-on technical leader contributing to production code.
  • 3 years of Experience delivering AI-driven distributed systems, platforms or real-time products.
  • Strong program management skillset with proven success scoping MVPs, manage timelines, resolve dependencies, and ship in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Experience managing and leading software Engineering teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
  • 15+ years of Experience building and scaling distributed systems, platforms, or real-time products, with ideally 5 years of experience building AI products.
  • Current hands-on Expertise and willingness to lead by example: ability to write production code and provide hands-on engineering contribution is desired.
  • 3 years of hands-on Experience working on AI/ML systems, LLM-based applications, or intelligent workflows.
  • Experience delivering software that meets enterprise security, compliance, and IT manageability requirements - including audit logging, data segmentation, access controls, and engagement with security review processes.
  • Experience with enterprise identity and authentication standards: SSO, SAML 2.0, OAuth, RBAC, and MFA integration across corporate identity providers.
  • Familiarity with WorkOS and Auth0 for SSO, SCIM provisioning, domain verification, and user lifecycle management within a SaaS or AI product is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration, integration middleware, or API-based systems that connect enterprise applications across functions such as HR, IT, finance, and sales.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders, including enterprise IT leaders and commercial teams.
  • Ability to translate product and ecosystem strategy into clear technical direction and execution.
  • Experience working with commercial or B2B enterprise customers through pilot programs or beta deployments.
  • Experience building and cultivating relationships with enterprise partners such as WorkOS and Auth0.
  • Exposure to device management platforms or commercial PC software ecosystems.
  • Experience managing distributed or global engineering teams.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $190-210k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
