The University of Arizona, Campus Health Service (CHS) seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Consultant, Orthopedic Surgeon. This position is responsible for providing quality patient care to a primarily adolescent and young adult population in Ambulatory Care/Outpatient clinics at the CHS. The CHS was the first fully accredited college health service in the nation and in the Princeton Review, the CHS has been ranked in the top 4% for Best Health Services for the past twelve years. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Conduct medical
examinations, diagnose, prescribe, treat and perform office based orthopedic procedures. - Practice within
clinical skill and competencies. - Consult with
other CHS health care providers. - Provide
technical direction to Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. - Cooperative
interaction with other clinical and support staff. - Involvement in
committees and teams as appropriate. - Perform other
work-related assignments as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to
communicate effectively with different groups/individuals. - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive
information.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- In addition to the education and experience minimum qualifications, M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school and license to practice medicine or Osteopathic Physician Licensure required.
- Licensed in the State of Arizona.
- Five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
