Primary Purpose The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of compliance program initiatives, with a focus on investigations and reporting; and auditing and monitoring. Minimum Specifications Education
Experience
Certification/Registration/Licensure Certification in a healthcare compliance-related specialty is required. Must be currently certified and in good standing with one of the following or obtain within 18 months of placement in the position:

Responsibilities 1. This position performs a variety of activities in support of compliance program initiatives, with a focus on investigations and reporting; and auditing and monitoring. a. Researching regulatory requirements and guidance. b. Preparing written communications, assessment tools and formal reports. c. Collect, analyze and summarize information relevant to the investigative process and scope of audits. d. Schedule compliance-related meetings, such as audit entrance conferences and investigative fact-gathering sessions. e. Organizes compliance department materials, including electronic file management and data entry into incident management and audit application(s). f. Assists in monitoring project timeline and resources, milestone achievements and deliverables. g. Assists in monitoring the completion of corrective action plan tasks and remediation activities. h. Assists in the compliance risk assessment process used in the development of the annual compliance department work plan. i. Assists with other compliance program activities and initiatives as needed. j. Assists with investigative and audit activities in response to third party inquiries, including government agencies and contractors. k. Assists in the preparation of reports detailing incident management and auditing and monitoring activities for various compliance committees. l. Work collaboratively with others, both inter and intra-departmentally, with a team-centered approach, while exhibiting a professional and approachable demeanor. Job Accountabilities 1. Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland. 2. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices. 3. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans.
