Our Client is looking for some extra help in their Procurement department to help with a project. Specifically, they have a business unit who is going to be undergoing a name change, and they are looking for someone to come in, go through all of their contacts and review the language to determine what steps need to be taken. This will include: -independent contract language review -determine if the organization is at risk for penalties -work with key stakeholders across all areas of the organization to determine best options that are available - Interacting with all kinds of indirect suppliers and stakeholders in the business' - Drafting, redlining, and reviewing new agreements if needed - Integral in keeping that organized - understand next steps. they will be solely responsible for this project *6 month contract* -possibility for extension -possibility for conversion - They are open to someone who is interested in conversion, but in order to be considered must travel to work onsite in Kohler or Glendale office twice a week (any days) *Client Job Description: * Position summary Buyer/Procurement Contract Specialist to support procurement initiatives with a strong focus on contract strategy, vendor negotiations, and M & A readiness. This role will partner with Procurement leadership and business stakeholders to assess existing agreements, identify contractual and financial risks, and develop strategies to support future corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and divestitures. This is a strategic procurement role and is not responsible for transactional procurement activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, or invoicing. *Key Responsibilities* *Review, analyze, and negotiate complex indirect contracts *Evaluate agreements, vendor commitments, compliance risks, and financial obligations. *Assess existing contracts utilization across business units. *Develop recommendations for contract allocation, separation, and optimization to support future M & A and restructuring initiatives. *Partner with IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to align procurement strategy with business objectives. *Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations to improve commercial terms and reduce risk. *Prepare executive-level presentations, analyses, and recommendations. *Required Qualifications* *Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred *7-10+ years of procurement experience with a strong emphasis on Indirect. *Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or organizational restructuring initiatives preferred. *Strong knowledge of contracts, vendor management, and contract negotiations. *Demonstrated financial, analytical, and risk assessment capabilities. *Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. *Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage leaders and executive stakeholders. *Preferred experience* *Large-scale vendor and contract portfolio management. *Engagement Details* *Remote *Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred *Initial 6-month contract with potential extension *Skills* Procurement, contract negotiation, contract administration, contract review, compliance, buyer, procurement analyst, buyer, purchasing, contract manager, Contract, Contract management, communication & people skills, communication & organization skills *Top Skills Details* Procurement, contract negotiation, contract administration, contract review ,compliance, buyer, procurement analyst, buyer, purchasing, contract manager, Contract, Contract management *Additional Skills & Qualifications* strong experience with Microsoft Products - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams Experience with Ariba contract management tool a plus *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Kohler, WI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
