Duties may include: * Maintaining Trails, Brush Mowing, Weed Whacking, pruning and clearing debris where needed * Brush cutting * Manage invasive species * Mowing meadows & cemeteries * Building, repairing boardwalks, footbridges and picnic tables * Holiday event prep and other special events * Field Painting, trash removal, watering & fertilizer grounds * Assist with park repairs * Assist conservation staff on projects as needed * Other miscellaneous projects as needed Required: Valid MA Class D driver's license. Ability to operate Town vehicle, ability to lift heavy objects, work in all weather conditions, follow oral and written instructions; operate landscaping power equipment (i.e. weed-whacker, mower) push mower, string trimmer. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to learn basic plant identification skills. Must be 18years or older. Work Environment: This work will be performed physically in the outdoors, in all weather conditions in areas with poison ivy, mosquitoes, ticks, bees, dense brush, etc. Prior to appointment; candidates may be required to undergo a state CORI/SORI background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screening test.
