Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc. is seeking a Manager - Total Rewards to lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of our total rewards programs-including compensation, benefits, and recognition-supporting a diverse, multilocation workforce. Position Summary: This role is a blend of strategy and handson execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between bigpicture thinking and detailed work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys solving complex people challenges. A strong focus of this role will be digital transformation, helping move legacy, paperbased processes into modern, scalable HR systems-ADP experience preferred. We are looking for a solutionsoriented, positive "cando" leader who brings clear and confident communication skills, business acumen balanced with empathy and caring, and the ability to influence change through trust and credibility. Key Responsibilities Total Rewards Strategy & Execution
- Partner with the CHRO in the development and administration of Cleveland Brothers' total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and company values.
- Design, maintain, and improve salary structures, job pricing, and incentive programs while ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to support workforce planning, pay decisions, and talent strategies.
Digital Transformation & HRIS
- Serve as a key driver of digital transformation for total rewards processes, including moving from manual or paperbased workflows to integrated HRIS solutions.
- Partner closely with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to optimize ADP Workforce Now functionality related to compensation, benefits, and reporting.
- Improve data integrity, reporting capabilities, and employee/manager selfservice tools.
Benefits Oversight & Support
- Provide strategic oversight and handson support for employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
- Support annual renewal process and open enrollment, vendor management, and benefit communications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, FMLA, wage and hour considerations impacting total rewards).
Analytics, Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Use data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Solve complex people and payrelated challenges, balancing business needs with positive employee outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve transparency, and enhance the employee experience.
Influence, Communication & Change Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, influencing change through strong relationships, thoughtful insight, and practical solutions.
- Communicate complex compensation and benefits topics in a clear, confident, and positive manner to a wide range of audiences.
- Rile model a growth mindset, innovation, peer to peer feedback, and continuous learning.
Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in total rewards, compensation, and benefits within a multisite or complex organization.
- Demonstrated experience and examples leading or supporting HR technology and digital transformation initiatives.
- Hardworking, proactive, and solutionsoriented with a positive, "rollupyoursleeves" approach.
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations and build trust with employees, peers, and leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable influencing without authority.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
- Comfortable operating in both strategic and tactical capacities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, or benefits.
- Experience with HRIS implementations or optimization, with ADP strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, equipment, or fieldbased work environments and general understanding of collective bargaining agreements.
- Professional certifications (CCP, CBP, CEBS, PHR/SPHR, SHRMCP/SCP) preferred.
