Our Team

As a member of the Tax Transformation team, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and leverage your data, systems, and programming knowledge in an exciting Tax environment. This key role will create value by partnering across capabilities to drive sustainable transformation. The successful candidate must be self-directed, able to collaborate on multiple projects, seek out opportunities to modernize processes, understand priorities, and meet deadlines.

As a Tax Transformation Intern on our team, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Build relationships and understand our data strategy
  • Develop product enhancements and troubleshooting bugs
  • Contribute to product scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and more
  • Partner with Tax capabilities to understand and document requirements and develop solutions
  • Utilize concepts learned in the classroom to address real-world business challenges and enhance your professional knowledge
  • Enhance communication, time management and analytical skills

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • An interest in data, business processes and transformation
  • Enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to Information Technology, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics or Related Field
  • Available to work a 40-hour week in-person Monday-Friday during core business hours in Spring or Summer 2027
  • Available to work onsite in one of our offices located in Atlanta, GA, Plano, TX, or Wichita, KS
  • Eligible for full-time employment no later than Summer 2028
  • Ability to relocate per program requirements
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
  • Travel to the different KCC Tax offices for intern kickoff, team meetings, etc.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Completion of 2+ Data Science/Analytics related courses and a basic understanding of ETL processes and data languages (SQL/Python)
  • Completion of 2+ core accounting courses and a basic understanding of fundamental financial accounting principles
  • Experience with data analytics platforms, business process technology, and basic coding skills such as PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and robotic process automation
