Description and Requirements

The Profit Manager is a strategic advisor, driving short and long-term profitability. This role partners closely with sales, finance, alliances and category to optimize profit while driving revenue and achieving targets.

The Profit Manger will support large deals making to ensure Lenovo leverages all resources to win, providing quarterly analytics, and identifying opportunities to drive revenue with a balanced profit profile.

The profit manager will partner with the Business Manager to support the sales segment leader and their business.

This position requires a strong sales and financial acumen, operational efficiency, attention to detail, excellent communication skills with all levels, willingness to learn new skills and confidence.

Key Objectives / Responsibilities

  • Advise on business case development for strategic opportunities, including RFP analysis, pricing and product fit, cost reduction, profit optimization, and deal scenario modeling with recovery planning.
  • Understand relevant vertical markets, including competitors and market dynamics.
  • Analyze and present quarterly financial performance, profit drivers, and trends to senior leadership to support strategic decisionmaking
  • Engage, Influence and Align Executives and other internal stakeholders
  • Develop, operate and enhance analysis tools, models and dashboards, leveraging varied data inputs from both internal and external sources, including competitor landscape, market dynamics, quotes and end user sales that drives innovation and challenges existing solutions.
  • Provide analysis on low margin accounts to ensure path to profitability or strategic importance to Lenovo

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years analytical experience within marketing, sales or finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Requirements:

  • Deal structuring experience including finance engagement, RFP interpretation, pricing process understanding, and ability to model complex scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Lenovo products & solutions offerings including nonstandard terms
  • Analytical problem-solver adept at translating data into actionable guidance while applying a sales lens
  • Excellent communication skills; communicating in a clear and simple manner making complex things easy to understand, conflict-resolution,
  • Highly developed skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Analytics Tools, Power BI, Qlik, Aviso
  • Ability to automate repetitive processes and drive efficiency
  • Comfortable working with and resolving ambiguity, driving collaboration and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Highly organized, self- motivated, excellent time management skills, accountable until task completion, effective in task prioritization.
  • Commitment to continual improvement, personal and professional growth.
  • Confident engaging with executives and sales leadership at all levels

This position requires candidates to be based near our headquarters in Morrisville, NC and adhere to a 3:2 hybrid work schedule. This means three days on-site for in-person collaboration and two days remote each week, ensuring flexibility while maintaining strong team engagement.
