Parker Meggitt, an addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

Customer Account Management (CAM) Intern

Note: This is for a full time, Summer 2026 internship, on site in our Simi Valley, CA facility. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Position Summary:

The Customer Account Management Intern directly supports the Customer Service / Customer Account Representative team with day-to-day administrative execution, system updates, and data integrity activities. This role helps ensure accurate order and customer information is maintained in business systems, assists with report preparation and verification, and supports timely responses to customer needs by enabling the Customer Service team to operate efficiently. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to customer account operations in a regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Customer Account Representatives with administrative tasks tied to customer accounts, orders, and service activities.
  • Assist with purchase order entry and maintenance in the ERP system (e.g., SAP), including verification of required fields and supporting documentation.
  • Perform data entry, data cleansing, and data verification to maintain accuracy of key account/order information (e.g., part numbers, quantities, dates, pricing references, ship-to details).
  • Help prepare and reconcile open order reports, backorder lists, and other routine customer service trackers; escalate discrepancies to the appropriate representative.
  • Support generation and organization of customer documentation (e.g., acknowledgements, forms, templates, quote support packages as directed).
  • Assist in monitoring and updating customer portals (as applicable) to support accuracy of pricing, quantities, lead times, and other order attributes-within delegated authority and guidance.
  • Coordinate basic scheduling and logistics support for customer visits/meetings (e.g., calendars, visitor coordination, meeting materials) as needed.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and ensure appropriate handling of confidential and proprietary information.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams to gather missing information, confirm status, and support issue resolution.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts aligned with site processes and the Parker culture of operational excellence.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Must be enrolled in and currently completing a bachelor's or master's degree in related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant customer service experience.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record of responsiveness, professional support and effective issue resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and instructions in a structured environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional email etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple requests.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to work with spreadsheets and basic reporting.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus; willingness to learn is required.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.
  • Interest in aerospace manufacturing environments and customer account operations.
